Hi there! We are officially in our 'testing' phase, since we are now one week away from leaving for Houston. Last night, we put the experiment on a roller board and took it into the elevator, where we ran our data acquisition software for the Chaser IMU as we went up and down five floors. (I should apologize here to the university's maintenance crew since we held up their jobs by hogging the elevator for 15 minutes! Sorry). Anyway, the elevator test was successful, after fidgeting with the data acquision software for 5 minutes, we actually saw the IMU produce results!! (I will check to see if we can post the video we recorded of the elevator test).
So, after today, we are all going to enjoy our 4th of July weekend, and get back to the final tasks of the experiment next Monday. Happy 4th of July!

This is the first entry from the University of Texas's Zero-G Team. We have created this blog to keep the community informed about our experiment's progress. We have less than three weeks before we leave now and the whole team is pretty excited. Hopefully we will post some pictures of our trip soon!
